Judy Ann Pugh, 63, passed away on August 8th, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on December 20, 1953 in Huntington, West Virginia. Judy grew up in Winter Haven, Florida. She graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1971. She attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida where she received degrees in Elementary Education, Secondary Education and Spanish with a minor in History. Judy Ann Pugh, 63, passed away on August 8th, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on December 20, 1953 in Huntington, West Virginia. Judy grew up in Winter Haven, Florida. She graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1971. She attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida where she received degrees in Elementary Education, Secondary Education and Spanish with a minor in History. She completed over 30 graduate credits during the course of her education. Judy married John Pugh in 1976 in Lakeland, Florida. They were happily married for 41 years. She is survived by her spouse John of Jacksonville, Florida; son Michael (Valerie), grandson David, and sister Debbie of Jacksonville, FL; sister Rebekah, brother Wiley (Andrea), and nieces Alexandria, Madison, and Layla of Winter Haven, FL. Judy was preceded in death by her mother Ernestine Jones Pratt. For over 30 years, Judy worked for Cedar Hills Baptist Christian School as a teacher and then Principal. She devoted herself to making a difference in a multitude of lives and living as a Christian example. She will be missed by the students, alumni, parents, and staff. Judy was a believer in Christ for 55 years and was an active member of Cedar Hills Baptist Church. Even throughout battling multiple cancers and other health issues, Judy always professed that God blessed her beyond measure and she, without any doubt, knows our Christ and experienced His love and saving grace. A memorial service will be held at Cedar Hills Baptist Christian School, 4200 Jammes Road, Jacksonville, FL at 10:00 a.m., August 19th.
